Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich starlet Mathy Tel and he is not ruling out a transfer in the summer, according to his agent Gadiri Camara.
The highly rated French youngster is understood to be frustrated by his playing time at the Allianz Arena, so a move to another top European club – promising regular game time – could be on the cards.
Tel is yet to start in the Bundesliga this season, with his 17 appearances (total of 397 minutes) all coming as a substitute under Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel.
However, it was reported during the weekend by Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg that United have already made contact to sign Tel this summer.
The 18-year-old’s priority remains to be make it with the Bundesliga giants, although a loan move is not something he wants to consider.
Plettenberg also claims that in addition to United’s interest there are two other English clubs that have enquired about the young French winger.

Speaking to German publication Bild, Tel’s agent Gadiri Camara said: “Mathys loves the club, the fans, he wants to be important and win all the trophies here with a strong team. Sometimes you just need to feel like you’re on the same path. We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player.”
Tel might bide his time at Bayern Munich
Reports suggest Bayern Munich will not sack Tuchel despite slipping eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich after losing to Bochum.
Pressure is rapidly building on Tuchel with the German giants potentially looking at their first trophyless season in 12 years. A shock 3-2 defeat to Bochum did them no favours on Sunday and Bayern’s faith in Tuchel could soon weaken.
The current Bundesliga champions cancelled Tuchel’s post-match press conference, which lead to speculation that they would pull the trigger to sack the former Chelsea and Paris Saint-German manager.
Plettenberg claims Tuchel will remain in the job and that he is refusing to contemplate resigning from his position.
It will be interesting to see if Tel bides his time at Bayern because a different manager could mean more opportunities.
