Mats Hummels has found his new club. The central defender has just signed with AS Roma. Free of any contract since his departure from Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season, the 35-year-old defender will therefore leave Germany and join Serie A. The German has signed with the Giallorossi until June 2025.
“Welcome to Roma, Mats Hummels”wrote the club from the Italian capital on its X account. Highly sought-after, the former Bayern Muncih player had a very turbulent summer where he notably refused to join several clubs such as Bologna, Mallorca or more recently Real Sociedad. In Rome, Hummels will wear the number 15.
