It’s a Bomer bummer!

Social sorts were ticked off when they bought tickets to see Matt Bomer being honored — but got no closer to the hunky “Magic Mike” star than they do when they’re at the movies, a source tells Page Six.

Bomer and his husband, PR guru Simon Halls, were feted at the Hudson River Park Friends gala on Thursday. But the pair only appeared via video, disappointing those who hoped to breathe the same air as the studly star.

“Kind of nervy,” one attendee and Bomer fan groused.

But Halls tells us that the pair were “beyond disappointed that we couldn’t make it.”

“Work things come up all the time for both of us and it became something where we couldn’t make it,” he said, “We were so bummed.”

In the video, Bomer and Halls apologize for their absence due to work and talk about all the ways the park has been meaningful to their family, which includes their three sons Kit, Henry and Walker.

Bomer has filmed scenes from “The Normal Heart,” and “White Collar,” at the spot.

“Matt and I have spent several nights taking long walks up and down the river, discussing our day and plans for our family,” Halls said. “It’s meant everything to us.”

Those who attended the event, which raised $2.75 million, did get a chance to see its host “Daily Show” correspondent Ronny Chieng, Martha Stewart, New York State Senator Brian Kavanagh, and New York City Council Member Erik Bottcher.

“We have so many incredible memories there,” Bomer said. “One of my favorite things to do is walk to the end of the Christopher Street Pier and watch the ballroom dancers practicing on Sunday nights. It’s such a quintessential New York experience that couldn’t happen anywhere else.”
