Matt Hardy reflects upon the time Charles Barkley gave him and Jeff props at a club.
On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the TNA Wrestling star was asked if he’s ever had any famous athletes approach him before, Hardy told a story about Charles Barkley giving him and Jeff props at a club back in 2000.
“Charles Barkley came up to Jeff and I in a club one time somewhere in Alabama when we were there, yeah,” Matt Hardy said. We were out after a WWE show. This was probably 2000-ish, I would say. And we’re hanging out, a bunch of the other guys were there. Just, everybody was just kind of hanging out, having a good time.
“And this guy came over and said, ‘Hey, what’s going on, guys? I love that stuff you do, those TLC matches, and all the stuff you’ve been doing is so cool and so innovative.’ Yeah, it was Charles Barkley. I think he knew someone, one of the top guys, like he was buddies with him, or whatever, and he came out to see him, and he just came and laid some pleasantries on us, which was neat.”
