One of the stars who became a professional wrestler after stepping into the octagon is the SuperKing of Bros, Matt Riddle. He is currently competing in Major League Wrestling.

Recently, Matt Riddle was a special guest on Fox 32 Chicago. During the interview, The SuperKing of Bros shared how he became a professional wrestler.

“My path was a little different. I wrestled in high school. Wrestled in college. Started doing jiu-jitsu. Found myself in the UFC fights, on The Ultimate Fighter. And then, eventually in the ripe age of 27 found myself in pro wrestling. And wrestled WWE. I’ve wrestled in Japan. I’ve won titles in Japan Mexico, America… I have done it all. And I’m still going.”

During the interview, Riddle also shared what his parents thought of him and also how he convinced them that he is a fighter via his first fight.

“I always thought I did have it. But my parents thought I was a little dainty, a little delicate to start fighting. But then, once my mom saw me do my first fight, and I broke a dude’s… Ripped his shoulder out of its socket in 45 seconds, my mom and everybody else was like, ‘I think he can do this. And do it well…’ And also, she liked the fact of, she never hit me. But when I fought in the UFC, I would get hit. And she’s like, ‘Hey he did something I couldn’t do.’”

Riddle also shared the worst hit that he ever took. That hit made him second-guess his choice of becoming a UFC fighter. But even then, he decided to get back up with a broad smile and continued fighting.

“It actually wasn’t like a knockout blow. It was more, I took an elbow to the ear and it probably got some cauliflower, you could see that right there. It’s kinda gruesome. But, got hit with an elbow. It was my second fight in the UFC. And I was like, ‘Oh my goodness!’ You know what? The round ended, I got up with a smile, kept fighting… Life lesson is, be a stallion. Never give up, do your thing,” Matt Riddle said.
