Matthew Modine — who plays Millie Bobby Brown’s “Papa” on “Stranger Things” — is still beaming over officiating his costar’s Italian wedding to Jake Bongiovi three weeks ago.
Modine made a rare public outing at Nobu Downtown in NYC on Sunday, where he celebrated the release of QUI tequila, and the restaurant’s new “2025 NOBU Rare” limited-edition tequila, with renowned artist Kaws.
At the party, he was overheard telling famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa about the off-screen nuptials.

We hear he even joked that it was his new gig.
As for his actual job, the actor was also overheard telling a pal, he’s seeking distribution for his award-winning indie film, “The Martini Shot,” which also stars Monty Python legend John Cleese and acclaimed Shakespearean actor Derek Jacobi.
Also at the bash was Lure Fishbar owner John McDonald, and music exec Charlie Walk, who was filling him in on Nobu’s upcoming 30th anniversary bash.

Walk attended the event with his family including his wife, Lauran, and son Jesse — who has a cameo as a news reporter in “Joker: Folie à Deux.”
It goes without saying, the sequel has at least one fan despite being widely panned.
Walk was encouraging guests to see the flick, and said he couldn’t be more proud. He even told a guest it brought a tear to his eye! (We assume it was Jesse’s role as an extra, and not Lady Gaga, that made his eyes water).
