Swift refers to the ’80s track in the intro of “Guilty as Sin” as she sings, “Drowning in the Blue Nile, he sent me ‘Downtown Lights.'”

Healy’s mention of the song sent fans into a frenzy, with one person writing on X, “matty posted downtown lights on his insta story … never beating the guilty as sin allegations.”

“matty posting downtown lights on his instagram story, this is not a drill,” another added, while a third chimed in, “matty posting downtown lights on his ig story, okay choosing violence this morning i see.”

“not the Matty Healy (re) confirming that Guilty as Sin? is about him on his IG story,” a fourth person wrote.

On the track, Swift, 34, refers to “fatal fantasies” with an unnamed person and “recalling things [they] never did.”

“My bedsheets are ablaze / I’ve screamed his name / Building up like waves / Crashing over my grave / Without ever touching his skin / How can I be guilty as sin?” the 14-time Grammy winner sings.
