Maxence Lacroix gets closer to Crystal Palace

With the future of Marc Guehi, courted by Newcastle, still unresolved and Joachim Anderson joining Fulham, Crystal Palace have stepped up their search for defensive reinforcements. According to The Athleticthe London club has reached a full agreement with Wolfsburg for the arrival of Maxence Lacroix. The Eagles and the Wolves have reached an agreement for a transfer estimated at 18 million euros, with three million in bonuses.

While the terms of the player’s contract have yet to be defined, the transfer is well on track. Aged 24, the native of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne) joined the German club in August 2020. In four seasons in the Bundesliga, the former Sochaux player has played 130 official matches. He also discovered the Champions League during the 2021-2022 season with the club from across the Rhine.
