Opposed to Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappé is demanding the payment of unpaid bonuses and salaries. In charge of the case, the LFP Legal Commission requested mediation between the two parties on Wednesday.
Captain of the Blues, Kylian Mbappé was at a press conference a few days ago, before the Nations League match lost by the Blues against Italy. As is often the case when he finds himself in front of journalists, the French captain had to answer a few questions relating to his personal situation. Asked precisely about the state of his relations with his former club Paris Saint-Germain, the striker assured that he had only good memories and that everything was going well. But the reality is different, since the two parties are opposed over bonuses and salaries demanded by Mbappé. On Wednesday, the LFP Legal Commission ruled on the case and delivered its conclusion.
In a statement, Paris Saint-Germain announced that the Professional Football League body had recommended mediation. A decision that visibly satisfied the club.
Paris Saint-Germain welcomes the hearing held today (…). The club recalled that the player had made clear commitments, repeated in public and in private, and that these commitments must be respected by the player (…).“In this press release, PSG confirmed that ” The Commission insisted on the establishment of mediation “, adding that it was the solution that he himself ” been looking for for many months “.
Last resort before the courthouse
The ball is now in Kylian Mbappé’s court, who will have to decide whether or not to accept the recommendation of the Legal Commission. As a reminder, the total amount of the dispute is around fifty-five million euros and is made up of unpaid bonuses and salaries, according to the Real Madrid player’s entourage. This mediation is the last step and the ultimate solution to avoid both parties having to go to court.
