Mbappé already “tracked” by the Spanish press

Still without a goal after three La Liga matches, Kylian Mbappé cannot escape the merciless Spanish media, who observe his every move.

Kylian Mbappé will have to get used to it. If the French press does not behave impeccably, it has the merit of exerting less media pressure than its Spanish counterpart, for example. We got a little glimpse of it after Real Madrid’s match in Las Palmas (1-1) on Thursday evening.

The whimsical El Chiringuito show went so far as to film the Bondy resident’s phone to see what he was reading. It was clearly an article from Foot Mercato about the evening’s match, which mentioned a “Mbappé still can’t do it” with Real.

Mbappé under pressure

This sequence teaches us two things: that the Madrid media are on the lookout for the slightest actions of Real stars. And that Mbappé, clearly, wanted to read what the press (French, in this case) wrote about his match.

“It was predictable,” reacted journalist Abdellah Boulma on X. “The Spanish press is formidable. But many professional players cannot resist the urge to read the comments or notes about them after a match. It has always existed.”

If we take a quick look at the AS website this Friday morning, we can see some not very pleasant articles about Mbappé. Like an anthology of the “best” tweets of the moment, with caricatures of the Bondynois. Or a focus on this action where the Frenchman gets annoyed after a strike from Vinicius Jr. In Spain, everything is seen and commented on.
