Victim of a nasty sole during the Coupe de France match against Brest, Kylian Mbappé left the field grimacing.

Now less than a week before hosting Real Sociedad in the round of 16 of the Champions League, PSG is trembling. And not just because of his recent performances. The shock against Brest on Wednesday in the Coupe de France did not allow Luis Enrique’s men to reassure themselves. Although they finally won 3-1, the Parisians conceded numerous opportunities and appeared feverish.

Once again, PSG was able to count on Kylian Mbappé to make the difference, the former Monegasque finishing the match with a goal and an assist on the clock. But the French world champion also finished the match with an ankle injury. Consequence of a nasty sole from Pierre Brassier at the heart of the second half. A bad move which earned the Breton defender a red card.

Having remained on the ground for a long time, the former Monegasque was able to get up and finish the match. He was no less grimacing when he returned to the locker room. According to RMC, the first examinations revealed nothing but Kylian Mbappé is left to pass into the hands of doctors this Thursday to determine more precisely the nature of the injury.

“For Kylian Mbappé, we’ll see tomorrow. He took a big hit to the ankle. He stayed on the field, he was fine, the doctors will see tomorrow”, confided Luis Enrique after the match. The concern is all the greater on the Parisian side as the French champions will already have to deal without Presnel Kimpembe, Milan Skriniar and Nuno Mendes against Real Sociedad.
