Kylian Mbappé’s career trajectory has been compared to that of the former French football star.
Kylian Mbappé is currently going through a real slump. Perhaps the most important he has known since the start of his career. Difficulties which inevitably provoke reactions and talk in the media.
This Tuesday, a former French international, in the person of Benoit Trémoulinas, gave his opinion on the Real Madrid star. According to him, the latter is strong enough to face the criticism addressed to him. “I’m convinced that it doesn’t matter to him,” he declared on the L’Equipe channel.
“Mbappé is annoying”
Trémoulinas went on to indicate that Mbappé is mentally better than most players. And he allowed himself an analogy with his former teammate in Bordeaux, Yoann Gourcuff.
“He was our star, we played for him. He was well brought up, not one word higher than the other. But when he was at Lyon, he completely collapsed, because there were a lot of egos in the locker room. He didn’t have the mentality of Mbappé.”
If he says he is confident for Mbappé, Trémoulinas declares that he understands the fact that he is no longer as loved as before by the French. “Why is he getting annoying?” Because on a sporting level he no longer shows what he did a year ago.”
