Kylian Mbappé’s level of play could be worrying less than three weeks before the start of Euro 2024. Habib Beye and Mickael Landreau are nevertheless optimistic.

The story between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé is now over. Last Saturday, the native of Bondy played his last match in the colors of the capital club, during the final of the Coupe de France. Several sports consultants criticized his performance against Olympique Lyonnais, worrying at the same time about the level of play he will have during the Euro which begins on June 14.

This is not the case for Habib Beye. “To say that he was invisible in the Coupe de France final is hard. We always expect the exceptional from him. We’ve had less of it lately, but the Euro won’t be a problem because the motivation will be enormous. Winning titles with your country is very important. He also knows that he will arrive with a status”explained the now ex-Red Star coach on the Canal Football Club set.

Mbappé, regeneration operation

Mickael Landreau seems to share this opinion. “He is missing one or two small goals in the last rounds of the Cup or in the final of a Champions League. Otherwise, he always scored. The whole environment, everything he had to deal with is incredible. I find him monstrous given everything he had to deal with. There, it will regenerate”warned the former goalkeeper.

Before formalizing his arrival at Real Madrid and joining the French team with a view to preparing for the Euro, the captain of the Blues is having a good time. In the wake of PSG’s success in the Coupe de France final, he headed to Monaco to attend the Grand Prix.
