Kylian Mbappe’s new No. 9 shirt at Real Madrid is proving to be five times more popular than Jude Bellingham’s No. 5, with sales records shattered.

The French international was officially presented in front of a packed Santiago Bernabéu. The World Cup winner was the subject of speculation for several years before a deal was finally agreed with Spain.

Kylian Mbappe, who has just finished his Euro 2024 campaign, has joined Real Madrid as a free agent after cutting ties with Paris Saint-Germain, and he is already generating a lot of money for his new employers. According to Marca, his shirt is selling at a record rate, with interest exceeding all expectations.

Mbappé 5 times popular

Bellingham was the talk of the town in 2023, but has been overshadowed by his new club colleague this summer. Those looking to acquire an Mbappe jersey through official channels are already facing long waiting times, with demand far outstripping supply.

Real Madrid are reportedly confident they can sell four million shirts this season. The La Liga and Champions League holders will release a bold orange away kit, in addition to their iconic white home jersey. Mbappe will not wear either until he makes his UEFA Super Cup debut against Atalanta on August 14, with the Frenchman not scheduled to make the pre-season tour of the United States.
