Once the Champions League final has been and gone, there’s an expectation that Real Madrid will finally confirm the worst kept secret in football; the signing of Kylian Mbappe.

The French World Cup winner will join Los Blancos from Paris Saint-Germain, and strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s brilliant young squad.

With a plethora of attacking talent already available to the Italian, adding Mbappe should make the Spanish giants unstoppable.

The pace that the 25-year-old will bring to the attack alongside the lightning quick Vini Jr. is almost certain to cause panic amongst even the most accomplished defences.

However, one player could be set to be the fall guy at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Rodrygo Goes potentially considering his future at the club.

According to Fichajes, the Brazilian has a decent return of 54 goals and 41 assists in his 215 games for Real Madrid.

Arsenal want Rodrygo Goes

A purple patch in November saw him score seven in five games, per WhoScored, and another four were scored in three games at the end of March/beginning of April, however, goals were relatively hard to come by for the 23-year-old the rest of the time.

Real Madrid also have Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler in their ranks as players who could step up in Rodrygo’s absence, and the player’s recent comments to DAZN, where he said “anything can happen” when asked about his future, has given rise to the notion that he could be moving on sometime soon.

Fichajes mention Arsenal as a potential destination, given that the Premier League runners-up would consider him as a player that can interchange with Bukayo Saka or play on the opposite side to him.

Furthermore, the outlet suggest that Mikel Arteta would consider the 23-year-old as a top signing, and to that end he can only make the Gunners stronger as they look for the formula to be able to topple serial English top-flight winners, Man City.
