Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni has revealed that his discussion with Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga concerned neither Erling Haaland nor Kylian Mbappé.

Both have been widely linked to Real Madrid in recent times, and after the conversation was published in different media outlets, the matter went viral. Except that Mbappé and Haaland were not at all concerned… Tchouameni thus revealed that it was in fact a discussion concerning the central defenders of Bayern Munich Dayot Upamecano and Eric Dier.

Things need to be clear because as soon as I arrived in the national team, this was the first question I was asked. You should know that we were with Real Madrid and I think the guys came to show us some clothes. What you need to know, and this is a first, we were not talking about Kylian and we were not talking about Erling”, he noted during his press conference with the Bluesas reported by Marca.

Tchouaméni finally explains himself

“We were talking about Dayot (Upamecano) and Dier. For what? Because we were watching Bayern-Lazio. Jude was talking about Dier and I was talking about Dayot. So today we're going to set things straight. I know it will sell less, but that’s what happened,” did he declare.

Dier started in place of Upamecano against Lazio in the second leg of their Champions League clash, with Bayern winning 3-0. Upamecano was suspended from the first leg, after giving away a penalty in a 1-0 defeat.
