On the sidelines of Kylian Mbappé’s first match at the Santiago Bernabéu as a Real Madrid player, Carlo Ancelotti made some big announcements.
It’s a moment he’s been waiting for since he was a child. This Sunday afternoon (5pm), Kylian Mbappé will play his very first official match in his new home at the Santiago Bernabéu, against Valladolid in the league, as a Real Madrid player. Enough to set the Spanish capital abuzz.
“I think it will be a very big day for Mbappé. He will play at the Bernabéu for the first time in the Real Madrid jersey.”said Carlo Ancelotti, very excited like the club’s fans at the idea of seeing the French striker get the 80,000 spectators in the Madrid stadium going wild, at a press conference on Friday.
“The fans will have a blast” with Mbappé, promises Ancelotti
“The fans are eager to see him play,” added the Italian coach, who promises a lot from the kid from Bondy: ” Besides, given his quality, he’s going to have a great match. The fans are going to have a great time.”
While Mbappé will play his very first match at the Bernabéu this Sunday, the captain of the French team has already played two matches in his new colours. He played and scored against Atalanta Bergamo in the European Super Cup (2-0 victory for Real), before showing a more disappointing face against Mallorca in La Liga last weekend (1-1).
