Before the Bondynois announced his departure to Paris Saint-Germain, someone close to Kylian Mbappé would have met a manager of Manchester City. Real Madrid may not be the only option for the Frenchman…

The series already seems to be written. Kylian Mbappé announced to Paris Saint-Germain his departure at the end of the season, at the end of his contract. The Bondynois has even already signed a five-year lease with Real Madrid, which has always been his preferred destination. But is another option possible?

In an article published this weekend, Cadena Ser looks at how the “Mbappé clan” works, particularly with regard to transfer negotiations. The Frenchman and his relatives would increase contacts with different clubs, in order to keep several avenues open. Thus, Cadena Ser reveals that a representative of Mbappé recently met certain leaders of Manchester City.

Guardiola spoke about Mbappé

Mbappé’s relative was in Manchester last Monday, where he spoke with certain members of the Citizens’ staff. It was the day before this famous Tuesday when the 2018 world champion informed Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, of his decision. La Cadena Ser adds that another member of Mbappé’s entourage was on Tuesday evening in Leipzig, where Real Madrid were playing in the Champions League.

Mbappé to Manchester City, is it credible? It’s not impossible, but it’s still very unlikely. For the moment, nothing is blocking between the Frenchman and Real Madrid. If this were to happen, the Premier League would undoubtedly be his fallback solution, but we are still far from that. Note that Pep Guardiola was questioned this Monday at a press conference about this famous meeting between Mbappé’s entourage and emissaries from Man City. The Spanish manager was asked to give his opinion on the Frenchman. “He’s pretty good. He has a future,” Guardiola had fun responding.
