Mbemba / OM clash, a new version has leaked

We know a little more about the reasons which led OM to part ways with its Congolese defender Chancel Mbemba.

While he was part of the OM executives during the last two seasons, Chancel Mbemba was shown the exit door in a surprising manner this summer. The club is determined to terminate his contract, even if it means paying him heavy compensation.

On Tuesday night, the Congolese international was suspended by his management. And it is not because he is not part of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans. No, the grievances against him would be of a completely different order. He is accused of having disrespected a club employee.

Mbemba unforgivable!

According to La Provence, Mbemba had a verbal argument with Ali Zarrak, Mehdi Benatia’s right-hand man. The latter had asked the defender to be ready to play with the reserves in Villefranche on July 27. The man refused, using a condescending tone.

The entire discussion between the two men was leaked by the regional daily. Here are the main passages:

Chancel Mbemba: “I’m warning you cousin, next week, I won’t come to your shitty match where there’s a four-hour drive to do.”

Ali Zarrak: “You call me cousin? This is not starting well… Listen Chancel, this is neither the place nor the place. We’ll see where we are next week. And if you are summoned, I will ask you to answer present.”

Chancel Mbemba: “You don’t know me cousin. Next Thursday is my birthday, so Friday (the day of the match against Villefranche), I will be injured here and there.” (He shows his right and left foot)
