South Africa won 3rd place in the African Cup of Nations at the expense of the Democratic Republic of Congo, while Chancel Mbemba had a match point (0-0, 6-5 tab).

The Democratic Republic of Congo and Chancel Mbemba will not end this Africa Cup of Nations on a good note. The DRC lost against South Africa (0-0, 6-5 tab), this Saturday evening, during the match for 3rd place in the CAN.

At the end of a match marked by an anthology of missed opportunities, everything came down to the penalty shootout. And after a miss from the first South African shooter, who hit wide, Mbemba had a match point between his feet. But the Leopards captain saw his shot saved by Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams. And the latter, a specialist in the exercise, then stopped the Meschack Elia attempt, offering victory to his team.
