Moroccan international Yassine Bounou has accused Congolese defender Chancel Mbemba of inciting violence.

The Morocco-DR Congo match (1-1) during CAN 2023 was the scene of several incidents. Present as part of an interview for the channel Youtube from Colinterview, the goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions, Yassine Bounou, returned to the meeting between the two African selections, and took the opportunity to make an astonishing revelation.

According to the Al-Hilal goalkeeper, the Congolese international and captain of the Leopards, Chancel Mbemba, would have encouraged his team to injure Azzedine Ounahi, his teammate at Olympique de Marseille. “En Nesyri told me that during the whole match, he only insulted him even though he didn’t speak to him. Afterwards, he told his teammates to go towards Azzedine Ounahi to hurt him. After the match, it was really hot,” said Bounou.
