Professor R Limbadri, Chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), recently met with 21 college leaders and senior faculty members to discuss new educational plans. The group included principals, heads, and chairmen from Osmania University for commerce, history, economics, and political science departments.

The TSCHE collaborated with the British Council, Aberystwyth University, Bangor University, Osmania University, and Kakatiya University to develop innovative curricula for B.Com (Finance) and BA (HEP) undergraduate courses. These curricula aim to improve students’ job readiness and employability skills.

As part of a pilot project, the new courses will be introduced in selected autonomous colleges starting in the academic year 2024–2025. Professor Limbadri emphasized the importance of future workshops to support faculty in teaching these courses effectively.

To prepare for the new curricula, workshops will be held for faculty members teaching commerce, history, economics, and political science. Additionally, an online workshop hosted by Aberystwyth University and Bangor University is scheduled for March 15 to discuss ways to strengthen teaching methods and curriculum content.
