Melina doesn’t want to sign a WWE legends deal unless she keeps the freedom to do whatever she wants.

The former Women’s Champion was a huge part of the WWE in the 2000s. She managed John Morrison and Joey Mercury in MNM, before embarking on a successful singles career.

She left the WWE in 2011, but made a shock return in the 2022 Royal Rumble match. Despite that, Melina has yet to sign a legend deal with the company.

Melina spoke with MuscleManMalcolm on YouTube about potentially signing a legends deal with the WWE. She denied the rumors that she had already, revealing she is currently not under any deal with the WWE.

“I thought you were going to ask me, ‘Is it true you signed a Legends deal?’ Everyone’s been asking me that on the internet. That’s why you shouldn’t believe everything you read online unless you hear it directly from someone. Even now, there are always rumors about me, but they’re not true.” Melina said, confirming she hadn’t signed a WWE legend deal as of the time of recording.

Malcolm asked the former Women’s Champion if she was interested in signing, to which she replied with a shake of the head. Melina then clarified that it depended on if the contract allowed her the freedom to do what she wanted or not.

“It depends on what people take from your life. Sure, more money could come with it, and all of that, but for me, it’s not about the money. It’s about being able to be free to do what I want with what I was blessed with in wrestling.”
