Melinda French Gates brought her son as her plus-one to the White House.

The famed philanthropist walked arm-in-arm with Rory as they made their way through the event Thursday, which also marked her only son’s 25th birthday.

French Gates, 59, chose a floral, floor-lengthy gown for the occasion, which she paired with a mini Lady Dior bag in yellow ($3,900 $3,425) and a matching pashmina. As for Rory, he wore a classic black suit to escort his mom.
