Melissa Gorga is dishing on the upcoming revamp of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The 45-year-old star was recently rumored to be one of a few who would be returning when the comes back – the Bravo series is currently on pause as the network figures out how to move forward and with who. While attending the Planet Hollywood Times Square reopening this week, Melissa shared her thoughts on the show taking an extended break and the cast getting changed up. Keep reading to find out more… “This is my opinion: They’re going to do some type of hybrid. They’re going to keep a couple, bring some new faces in — which I think it’s needed, by the way. I’m not mad at it,” she told Extra. “I’m looking to having my summer off, you know. Every summer we film at my shore house, so I’m excited to actually have a summer.” “I’m not mad at the pause,” she added. “I know everybody’s mad at it. I’m really not.” Melissa also shared that she’s not afraid of the show getting canceled and she doesn’t think the full cast will get rebooted, much like Real Housewives of New York City and the upcoming 12th season of Vanderpump Rules. “I think they’re regrouping… Jersey’s not going anywhere — I don’t think it’s happening,” she said. “I think Bravo is saying that out loud as well. I don’t think they’re going to redo the whole cast. I think they’re going to keep a couple and bring a couple and, you know, who knows? We’ll see what happens.” If you missed it, last summer, Melissa‘s sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, says she’ll never film with Melissa and brother Joe Gorga again after last season.
