Mercato OL, the priority track falls through

OL were aiming for a choice reinforcement for their attack, but the file turned out to be too complicated.

Arnaut Danjuma, OL’s Dutch midfielder, will certainly not sign for OL. Everton manager Sean Dyche has insisted he is counting on his Dutch teammate for the second half of the season.

OL must find alternative options

Danjuma plays for the Toffees, but he is only on loan to the English club. He is under contract with Villarreal. For the Merseysiders, breaking the loan before its maturity is simply out of the question.

“He played the last game and has a good chance of playing the next one, said the English technician. He was never outside of our plans. He remains an Everton player and there is no real story. I keep hearing quotes about him not being in our plans, I don’t know where they come from”. The direction of OL is therefore fixed. She will have to find reinforcements elsewhere for her offensive sector.

The Everton boss is even furious that we didn’t ask him: “No one asked my opinion, but as I’ve been asked now, he’s an Everton player and he’s part of what we do.”
