A new page is turning at Paris Saint-Germain. After the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid, the upper echelons of Ile-de-France will now be active in the summer transfer window to shape the most competitive squad possible. With this in mind, several names have already been mentioned in the shortlist of Luis Campos and his teams. From Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Leny Yoro via Maghnes Akliouche, Antonio Silva and even João Neves, the reigning French champions intend to make an impression during this summer window. And that’s not all.

Lately, the daily A.S. affirmed that PSG was also very interested in the profile of Jeremie Frimpong, currently in Germany to play Euro 2024 with the Netherlands. Aged 23, the Amsterdam native was, in fact, one of the pillars of Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists in 47 matches in all competitions. Present at the club since January 2021, Frimpong therefore logically finds himself at the heart of desire.

PSG knows what to expect…

For the capital club, acquiring the player trained at Manchester City would then provide strong competition to a certain Achraf Hakimi and thus strengthen, a little more, the collective led by Luis Enrique. Yes, but according to recent information from the European press, the issue looks more complex than ever. The first reason is none other than the current competition. Thus, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barça and more recently Liverpool have also shown an interest in the 1m72 right piston.

So many contenders ready to put obstacles in the way of the Parisian board. In addition to the intense battle that lies ahead, the recent declarations of the man who sees his contract running until June 2028 do not lead to optimism either. “It’s just rumors…I don’t read rumors! Rumors are just rumors, anyone can say anything”, thus launched the Dutch player, today fixed on his ambitions in the selection. With Xabi Alonso on the bench of the German champions, the Batavian could well be tempted by a new season in the Bundesliga. One thing is certain, PSG will have to wage a merciless war to afford Jeremie Frimpong.
