A particularly lively summer of 2024 awaits Real Madrid. Whatever the outcome of the season – Real Madrid is well into La Liga and the Champions League – things will change this summer. If the coach’s file has been completed, there are many other soap operas to resolve during these months of July and August 2024, like the Mbappé and Haaland cases. If the Frenchman is going to join the Spanish capital as revealed exclusively in our columns on January 7, it is a little more vague for the Norwegian.

In any case, the Iberian media are convinced that it is entirely possible to see the two men playing together under the white tunic in the fairly near future. Beyond these so-called galactic files for the attack, there are other sectors that the Merengue leaders wish to strengthen as a priority. This is the case for the defense, and especially for the full-backs.

Change everything behind

Daily life Marca takes stock this Monday and says more about the intentions of Madrid’s thinking heads. Real Madrid wants to shake up everything on the flanks and for the left side, the favorite has already been chosen for a long time: Alphonso Davies (Bayern). Nothing new therefore, even if the Canadian’s recent falling out with his coach Thomas Tuchel seems to further complicate a possible extension of his contract which expires in 2025. On the other side, there is a player who is starting to really convince everyone world in Madrid: Yan Couto (21 years old). The Brazilian from Girona, who belongs to the City Football Group, is also finally under contract in 2025 and will therefore potentially be sold this summer.

Two arrivals which aim to revitalize a sector considered to be the weak point of the team. Especially on the left, where Mendy and Fran Garcia are not totally convincing, while on the right, Dani Carvajal is having an excellent season, but is already 32 years old. In addition to these two players, Miguel Gutierrez (Girona) is also on the club’s shelves, which still has a buyout option on the one who is also a hit with the revelation team of La Liga. Alex Jimenez, an 18-year-old right back currently on loan at Milan, is also in the club’s future plans. Clearly, summer is going to be even hotter than usual in Madrid this year!
