Mercedes Moné doesn’t think she’d return to the WWE right now.
The TBS Champion infamously walked out on the company in May 2022, alongside her fellow Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi. This was the last time she appeared as Sasha Banks, although Naomi would later return to the company.
Following her exit, Mercedes Moné wrestled in Japan before joining AEW earlier this year. She has been consistently pushed as a top star in the women’s division, and seems to be being treated better than in WWE.
Mercedes Moné spoke with Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM, promoting the upcoming AEW Grand Slam event. She was asked if she had any plans to go back to the WWE. She replied saying she didn’t think so.
The TBS Champion went on to say that she has “the best relationship” with AEW, and is enjoying chasing new dreams in the business.
“After the way that AEW has been treating me I don’t know. I don’t think so.” Mercedes Moné said after being asked about returning to WWE. “I feel like I have the best relationship with AEW right now, and it’s legit.
“I’m living my dreams, and it’s the best place I’ve ever been mentally and physically. To be able to have new dreams after being in the industry for 14 years, it’s the best feeling in the world. So, AEW is my home right now.”
Mercedes Moné On The Mr McMahon Documentary
Mercedes Moné doesn’t want to go back to WWE. However, she is looking forward to the new documentary about Vince McMahon.
Mr McMahon debuts on Netflix today, and she is looking forward to sitting down with a drink and a smoke to watch it.
Mercedes Moné recently appeared on WFAN, and she was asked for her thoughts about the documentary.
“I haven’t been talking to anybody,” she said. “I stay in my locker room and stay in my lane. All I do know; I’m going to grab a blunt, I’m going to get some wine, and I’m going to be watching some Netflix. I can’t wait.”
