Mercedes Moné is getting ready to disappoint her brother this weekend at AEW Full Gear.
In the latest issue of the MonéMag, Mercedes Moné wrote about stepping in the ring with Kris Statlander this weekend at Full Gear and reveals how big of a fan her brother Joshua is of the former TBS Champion.
“The countdown to Full Gear is here, and the excitement is off the charts! With personal rivalries reaching a boiling point, this pay-per-view is set to make history,” Mercedes wrote. “My brother Joshua, a die-hard Kris Statlander fan, has been buzzing all week.
“He’s been parading around in his exclusive AEW shirt and bringing up the time Kris threw me into a wall—yes, we all remember, Josh. But come Saturday, that’s all going to change. I’m ready to settle the score, silence Kris, and maybe even serve my brother a little slice of humble pie. I can already hear his Sunday morning phone call, ‘Wait, what just happened?!'”
Moné would go on to write about why her TBS Title defense this weekend isn’t just another fight to her and it’s about reminding the world why she’s the face of AEW’s Women’s division.
“This match isn’t just another fight—it’s my statement to the world,” Mercedes wrote. “As “Two Belts Moné,” I’ve dedicated myself to being the best. My preparation has been relentless because being the CEO of the women’s division means leading with excellence. Kris is strong, but I’m stronger.
“Saturday isn’t just about defending my titles; it’s about reminding everyone why I’m the face of this league. The women’s division is thriving, and I’m proud to be at the forefront of it. Bring it on, Kris. The CEO is ready to shine, and when the dust settles, I’ll still be the one holding the belts! Let’s make this a night to remember!”
