Mercedes Moné previously main-evented WWE WrestleMania. Now, she will compete in a high-profile match at AEW All In. The former Sasha Banks points out a difference between the two.

In her latest Moné Mag, Mercedes Moné highlighted a key difference between AEW All In and WWE WrestleMania.

“There are three women’s matches at All In. THREE,” Mercedes Moné wrote. “When Mania was one night, how many women’s matches were there? Not three. Moreover, when the guys’ matches went too long in WWE, it was the women’s matches that got cut for time.”

Mercedes Moné On Importance Of AEW

Moné also reflected on attending AEW All In 2023 and discussed the importance of having competition in the wrestling business.

“Loving wrestling as I do, I knew [AEW All In 2023] would be fun to watch,” Moné wrote. “Also, deep down, I knew going there would help to support my fellow workers and the rival organization. As talent, we really need additional outlets.

“Having only one ticket in town serves no one but that one ticket. And even still, that one ticket tends to do better when it’s got someone to compete with. The fans also lose out as much as the talent when there are no alternative promotions. It was about halfway through the show that my mind changed. When I knew AEW was the place to be. The fact that they got 80k rabid and passionate fans to attend an event that wasn’t Mania blew me away. It made me excited for wrestling in a way I had not felt in a long time.”

Moné recently revealed that she was planning to return to WWE at WrestleMania 39. Check out her comments here.

At AEW All In, Moné will defend the TBS Championship against Britt Baker. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs on August 25.
