Announced with insistence at OM, Quentin Merlin would in reality be closer to staying at FC Nantes.

This Monday, West France told us that Olympique de Marseille and FC Nantes had entered into negotiations for the transfer of Quentin Merlin. The regional daily even indicated that the leaders of the Marseille club had reached an agreement with the left back.

However, at the end of the afternoon, the management of FC Nantes informed RMC Sport that they had not received any offer from the Marseille club. The Canaries have no intention of selling their young 21-year-old defender.

Quentin Merlin, under contract until June 2026 with Nantes, is not the only player tracked by OM in the left-back position. Rennais Adrien Truffert would also be in the sights of the Olympian club.
