Lionel Messi has starred in a new commercial, with MLS and Apple TV pairing him with a pink Inter Miami-themed goat.

The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is the undisputed star of American football and will attract many spectators to the United States in 2024. Supporters will be able to follow his every move on Apple TV thanks to a lucrative broadcast agreement.

Unsurprisingly, Messi features prominently in the league’s latest advertising campaign, broadcast on television and social media. Fans can catch a glimpse of the player at the stadium and on streaming platforms. The 36-year-old is presented as a true giant of the game when he takes on his colleague Benjamin Cremaschi.

After falling on the grass, Cremaschi opens his eyes and finds himself facing a real pink goat, and not Messi, the “GOAT (Greatest of All Time, editor’s note)”, dressed of a pink Inter Miami kit. Apple TV claims that “ you’ve never seen MLS like this” and seeks to bring fans even closer to the action in 2024. That promises a lot.
