Four days after his hat-trick against Bolivia, Lionel Messi did it again in MLS with Inter Miami.
What a night for Lionel Messi and Inter Miami! Coming into play in the 58th minute of play, the Argentine striker scored another hat-trick (78th, 81st, 89th), this time against the New England Revolution (6-2), four days after his hat-trick signed with the Albiceleste against Bolivia (6-0) as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Messi, two hat-tricks in four days!
Inter Miami wins the Supporters’ Shield by achieving the best season in the history of Major League Soccer (MLS). With 74 points, Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s players finish as leaders of the Eastern Conference and will have to confirm this status in the playoffs. The icing on the cake is that they are also qualified for the 2025 Club World Cup.
The Florida team will play this new competition at home and will therefore have the honor of launching it on the pitch at Hard Rock Stadium, playing the opening match. This will perhaps be an opportunity for the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner to meet his former club again, PSG, also qualified for this “new-look” Club World Cup.
