Philippe Coutinho could be next to join Lionel Messi’s reunion tour, with the former FC Barcelona star considered a “dream signing” by Inter Miami.

Several familiar faces have joined Messi in Florida following his move to the United States in 2023. Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba arrived at the same time as the Argentine icon, while Luis Suarez also joined the ranks at the DRV PNK Stadium .

After Suarez, Coutinho arrives

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Coutinho is close to a move to America. The 31-year-old is currently in Qatar with Al-Duhail, but that loan could be canceled as Premier League side Aston Villa look to push the South American in another direction.

Coutinho is in the crosshairs of Inter Miami, who need a new creative influence. Facundo Farias was injured in the club’s first friendly of 2024. Knee ligaments will keep him out for the entire MLS campaign.

Coutinho would be open to the idea of joining MLS and would allow Farias to be replaced by an experienced player. He has already worked with Messi and his teammates at the Camp Nou and the former Liverpool playmaker could be the ideal plan B for David Beckham and Tata Martino at Miami.
