Michael B. Jordan Opens Up About The “Worst Part” Of His “Loneliness”
On Monday, March 11, a new podcast episode of ‘On Purpose With Jay Shetty‘ was released. Additionally, it featured Michael B. Jordan as the special guest.
According to US Weekly, the 37-year-old actor shared a candid moment with listeners when he opened up about experiencing “loneliness” and feeling isolated due to his career. The Movie Database reports that Jordan is not only an actor but a film producer and director.
“There’s a loneliness that I have. The responsibility that you have is isolating and the weight is isolating,” he explained. “The worst part of that is the feeling like nobody really understands. Sometimes falling into the spaces of being alone, feeling alone.”
As the conversation continued, Jordan explained that he goes “back and forth between wanting partnership and then not knowing what’s the best partner” for himself.
“It’s not just ‘I love you, you love me,'” he explained to Shetty. “It’s not quite that simple.”
The Actor Shares What He’s Looking For In His Next Romance
The 37-year-old explained that he’s looking for someone to understand all of him and all that comes with him. He reportedly added that his “ideal” partner would have to understand his desire to “balance between wanting to be available and there for that person” while he’s “juggling everything else.”
“There’s also a part of me that really hasn’t lived life yet,” he reportedly explained. “I haven’t traveled for fun. I gotta start living. I’ve sacrificed and I’ve zoned in for so long.”
The actor explained that he’s “not looking” for a partner at the moment. However, he did share the traits that would catch his eye.
“I’m not looking but it would take a very special person to understand and grow with me,” he explained while reportedly confirming that he eventually wants to have a family of his own. “We’ll see what’s up.”
