Michael Bublé made the shocking claim that he had taken a psychedelic drug prior to holding a press conference for the NHL All-Star draft in Toronto earlier this week.
“My buddy told me this was just a microdose of mushrooms, and he was lying,” the “Feeling Good” singer, 48, said Thursday.
“I’ll be honest, I thought I was in ‘Blades of Glory’ for most of the time that I was out there until it sort of settled down and then I realized, ‘Holy s–t. I’m at an NHL All-Star Game.'”
Will Arnett, who starred in 2007 comedy about male figure skating and appeared with Bublé in the presser, then quipped that the jazz crooner had just compromised his career with his statements.
“It just occurs to me that through all the incredible songs that you’ve done over the years and all the hearts of women that you’ve won over around the world, with all that talk about fantasy hockey, you lost them all in one sentence,” the “Arrested Development” alum, 53, said.
“It all just evaporated … it’s just gone.

This is isn’t the first time Bublé’s sense of humor has been misconstrued, though.
“I’m just living my best life,” Bublé said in a radio interview after the presser. Getty ImagesIn 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the “It’s a Beautiful Day” singer often went on Instagram Live with his wife, Luisana Lopilato, and would playfully nudge her while filming.
However, the shoving and grabbing was not well-received by many viewers at the time, forcing Lopilato, 36, to come to his defense.
“Thank you for worrying about me,” she told her followers in April 2020. “It’s very important that we pay attention to the concerns that were mentioned. Fortunately, I am not suffering.”
