Michael Cole has truly being living the high life during his WWE career.
The WWE commentator has spent the past 27 working in the WWE. He started as a backstage interviewer, before moving onto commentary in the early 2000s.
He became the voice of Smackdown alongside Tazz in the 2000s, before he became the number one commentator in the company for well over a decade at this point.
Michael Cole commented on his 27 years in the WWE with a post on Twitter. User “FadeAwayMedia” posted a photo from 1997, showing Cole, Snoop Dogg and the Godfather backstage at a WWE event.
The trio can be seen smoking something, which based on the people involved, we can only assume to be marijuana.
In a reply to said Tweet, Michael Cole claimed he had “lived the high life” for 27 years in the WWE. He also noted how much of an incredible opportunity he has had in the company.
“For 27 years I’ve had the incredible opportunity of working for the @WWE . To say “I’ve lived the high life” would be an understatement.”
Michael Cole: Corey Graves Will Replace Me
Speaking with Awful Announcing, Michael Cole revealed he thinks Corey Graves will be the man to replace him as the voice of WWE in years to come.
He also called the former NXT wrestler “an incredible human being”, showing how much he values graves.
“Corey now has a Corey Graves Voice,” Cole said. “A lot of the issues we had were that we tried to develop commentators to be Michael Cole,” he admitted. “Now we have a chance to develop Corey Graves. I truly, honestly believe he’s going to be the one to replace me. He’s an incredible human being. He has a great opportunity.”
