The movie in question? The 2019 live-action adaptation of Dumbo, which is from director Tim Burton. Michael played the character V.A. Vandevere.

Michael and Tim have collaborated multiple times over the years. However, the actor is disappointed by his performance in the movie.

“I love working with Tim so much, but I don’t think we ever really analyzed why we work pretty well together; we just do,” he said during an interview with The New York Times. “I think I let him down on one movie, but that’s just me, and it bugs me to this day. I was clueless on Dumbo. I sucked in Dumbo.”

Tim responded, making it clear that there was no bad blood between the pair.

“I don’t even know what you’re talking about,” he said, “But whatever.”

Michael and Tim reunited for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. See the star’s two conditions that he laid down before reprising the role.
