Michael Owen has expectations of Manchester United ace Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane added to his tally for the season yesterday in a comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford, celebrating his birthday in style by marking a fourth goal in four consecutive matches.
After being made to wait 14 Premier League games before opening his account as a Red, he seems to have opened the floodgates now and has certainly found his feet in England’s top division. It’ll also come as a huge relief to Erik ten Hag, who targeted the £72 million forward last summer.
The 21-year-old is now a mainstay in the starting 11 and he has supporters incredibly optimistic over his development continuing the upward trajectory it’s on given that he’s shown such prolific skills and potential at a young age.
Owen’s praise for Hojlund
Owen is one former player who knows exactly what it’s like to be a highly-rated prospect and after watching Hojlund’s opener on Premier League Productions, he said: “It is a very good goal. If he can keep doing that, he’ll be a hero at the club.”
