The third episode of WWE’s LFG aired on Sunday March 2. Now that everyone has their coaches and formed their teams, the pressure is really on. This week’s show started with a men’s tag team match where the winning team got a chance to replace Brayden “BJ” Ray due to his injury. The replacement ended up being Cutler James who has appeared on NXT Level Up and is now on Bubba Ray’s team.
After this, the show moved onto promos between those we would see later in the night compete. Two matches for the men, and one for the women. There was a promo battle between Zena Sterling and Leigh Laurel but they did not end up having a match. The two women that did were Dani Raye Sekelsky (Team Mickie) and Penina Tuilaepa (P-Nasty, Team Booker).
Michelle McCool stopped by to assist Team Mickie James and particularly Dani Raye. This did not impress The Undertaker who would have liked McCool to help his team. McCool spoke with Dani asking her if she had a finishing maneuver. She did not. McCool taught her the Hell’s Gate submission which was made famous by Undertaker. Out of respect, McCool suggested Dani to go over to The Undertaker and ask if she could use his submission. Impressed that she had the courage and respect to ask him, he gave her his blessing.
Dani Raye would go on to win the match against P-Nasty with the submission move. For the men, Chris Island (Team Mickie) vs. Shiloh Hill (Team Taker) ended in a no contest as Hill went down after a massive kick to the head. Island learned to make sure to check on his opponent when they are injured and to know the difference between a legit injury and selling the move. Hill wanted to continue with the match but medical and the trainers refused and he got checked out.
The other men’s match was between Roxanne Perez’s boyfriend Drake Morreaux (Team Bubba) vs. Maxxine Dupri’s fiancé Anthony Luke (Team Booker). Morreaux won the match.
After a second week of competitions, Dani Raye won a point for Team Mickie, while Anthony Luke won a point for Team Booker. This means Mickie and Booker both have two points while Undertaker and Bubba are scoreless.
Molly Holly also made an appearance on this week’s show.
