Mick Foley is considering one final (death)match.

Foley mentioned the potential match on the last (and final) episode of his Foley Is Pod show on AdFreeShows.com. Foley and Thompson were talking about the possibility of a triple threat match going down at WrestleMania 40 between The Rock, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. Mick noted how he might be able to appear as a cornerman in that scenario, then mentioned he has a bucket list item he might entertain for a milestone birthday.

“Just to put it out there, Conrad — 60 is right around the corner. I’m thinking of doing one final match for my 60th birthday. Death match,” Foley stated. “I’m not kidding. I think it would be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones [pounds]. And I think it might be fun.”

“We might have to revisit that option”

Foley said he doesn’t think it would take place in WWE, noting how it’d likely be a “gory spectacle.”

“I’m just thinking about it. I put it out there to two of my kids. They’re like, ‘Would you get hurt?’ [I said,] ‘Yeah, probably.’ [Laughs] But I wouldn’t have to get my brain rattled. I’m not averse to a few stitcharoonies here and there, just something [I’ve thought about for] 60,” Foley explained.

“It won’t be for everyone, and [rightfully so]. But it could help me lose 100 pounds, and that’s what I’m missing because I did drop the 100 — I have the WrestleMania thing, I already lost 50, I have Vince in my ear where I made the promise to him that I’d be down 80 — and I don’t have any type of incentive,” Foley added. “It’s just something I’m throwing out there, so this time next year, we might have to revisit that option.”

Thompson asked if Foley had a dream opponent in mind, and Foley named Jon Moxley and Matt Cardona as two options.

Mick Foley is currently 58. He will turn 60 on June 7, 2025.
