Micoud goes too far and calls Mbappé a crybaby

Johan Micoud thinks that Kylian Mbappé complained a little too much about his situation at PSG.

Kylian Mbappé has just officially left PSG for Real Madrid. But he did not do so without first criticizing his former management. Tuesday, at a press conference, he was even very harsh against Nasser Al-Khelaifi, suggesting that he had made him unhappy in recent months.

Would Mbappé complain too much?

Logically, Mbappé’s comments were very poorly received on the Boulogne-Billancourt side. The Parisian management was even stunned by this attack. The Bondynois was criticized for his lack of class, which also made the famous columnist Daniel Riolo jump.

Mbappé’s official detractor, former French international Johan Micoud did not fail to add his two cents to this debate. If he did not comment on the class of the former Parisian, he did however criticize him for being a little too grumpy.

“His statement is still exceptional. It was the most difficult season of his career because he was told he wasn’t going to play even though he started playing from the 2e day (editor’s note, 3e in reality). I find it very surprising, as if basically the failed season he had, where he went through a lot of matches, is due to that”underlined the 2000 European champion on the L’Equipe channel.

Micoud then concluded by indicating that Mbappé took his standoff with Al-Khelaifi too seriously: “When you play football, you don’t play for your president. You also play for your teammates, your supporters and to win titles. So, it’s an event that can mark the start of the season, but if he had missed 10 full days I could have joined him. I was told about the frozen salary in April, but I don’t have the impression that before April it worked on everyone. It was all season long, even though he scored a lot of goals. But in important moments, we saw him less.”

Micoud therefore cut the captain of the Blues well. That said, during the same broadcast, a journalist pointed out to him that he too had left Parma with a bang and insulting everyone in the process. Suddenly, the ex-footballer sold his tongue to the cats and simply replied: “No, this is different.”
