Micoud shocked by this act of Mbappé: “It's not terrible”

Johan Micoud still made critical remarks with regard to Kylian Mbappé.

It is a secret of Polichinelle: Johan Micoud is not the greatest admirer of Kylian Mbappé. The former Girondins de Bordeaux playmaker would even be classified in the category of regular detractors of the French team captain.

The latest example has intervened this week, in the evening team, where Micoud is a flagship consultant. In question: the interview with Mbappé granted to the newspaper Le Parisien, and in which the Real Madrid star unveils the reasons for the international retirement of Antoine Griezmann.

Micoud on Mbappé: “If I'm in the place of Griezmann …”

Kylian Mbappé lingered for a long time on this subject. “I chatted with Antoine before he stops. I knew not only that he was going to stop, but he also explained to me why. This gathering was difficult for him as for me, we suffered a lot, he explained. We were appointed guilty of things that we were not responsible for. At that time, we felt as a lack of recognition by reporting to what we had brought with the selection. We had this impression, with Antoine, that everything we had done for the selection had been put in the trash, which we had just arrived in the French team. »»

An approach that Johan Micoud hardly appreciates. According to the former French international, Mbappé's words are not correct for Griezmann.“It's great that is actually. That he speaks on his behalf, Mbappé, that's good. But there he speaks on behalf of Griezmann. If Griezmann didn't want to talk about it, it doesn't matter. He put it in it, let's go with it. (…) If I am in the place of Antoine Griezmann, I do not take it very well, anyway. It’s not you who say it, you are made to say things. (…) It is not terrible. »»
