Melvin Koliqi has spoken publicly about his desire to one day seal a transfer to his dream club Chelsea.
The talented 17-year-old midfielder is not yet well known as a big name in European football, but he’s emerging as one of the big prospects at Swedish club IFK Goteborg, having impressed in their youth team before getting some opportunities to play friendly matches for the senior side.
It seems Koliqi has big ambitions in the game as well, with the teenager speaking of his desire to one day play for Chelsea, describing the west London giants as his favourite team.
“I dream of playing in the Premier League with Chelsea, it’s my favourite team,” he told Alingsas Tidning, as cited and translated by Sport Witness.

Chelsea fans may well want to remember Koliqi’s name as he could well end up being just the kind of player the club tend to target under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
While the Blues previously tended to go after big names and proven, experienced players, the aim is now to build a more long-term project around some of the world’s top young players.
If Koliqi ends up proving himself in the Goteborg first-team then he’s bound to be someone who’d come on Chelsea’s radar before too long.
