Mikel Arteta has embarrassed himself repeatedly with his behaviour and comments on previous matchdays against Newcastle United.
The shameless Arsenal Head Coach showing this at its most extreme almost exactly a year ago.
As Mikel Arteta and the entire club, plus many Arsenal fans, showed themselves to be such bad losers.
Unable to accept defeat and such bad grace shown by so many at their club, quite pathetic.
Saturday, Newcastle United ‘welcome’ Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team to St James’ Park, the Gunners’ boss speaking to the media on Friday morning and giving an injury update, as well as asked about his previous embarrassing behaviour when facing Newcastle United:
“We have a training session today, if Gabriel can complete that, he will be available.
“Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard are out definitely, with Ben White we don’t know yet. Let’s wait and see.
“Now is the stage Martin Odegaard is going to start doing some work with us and see how he deals with pain. With the work rate and the amount of hours Martin has put in, I don’t know when he will be ready. Hopefully soon.
“I don’t expect Takehiro Tomiyasu to be available before the break, unfortunately.”
Mikel Arteta asked if Ben White’s injury is a recurrence of his groin problem:
“No, this is more related to a joint.”
Mikel Arteta asked about his embarrassing behaviour in the past, when playing Newcastle United:
“On the touchline, I haven’t got to the point I go into meditating mode.
“Maybe I should.
“When they change the rules about certain behaviours, we need to adapt and that is what I’ve tried to do.
“I don’t want to miss any games.
“I can’t promise that if we score a goal, I won’t jump up and down the touchline.
“So far, it has worked.”
With only three wins in their last seven Premier League matches and already five points behind Manchester City, Mikel Arteta asked about their current situation:
“The league position after nine games is very tricky.
“Newcastle are super intense and I’m looking forward to it.”
