CM Punk yet again became one of the top news topics over the past couple of weeks. He discussed what happened between him and Jack Perry at the AEW All In pay-per-view. Punk also called Tony Khan a clown and that AEW is not a real company. Following his interview, Adam Copeland kicked off an episode of Dynamite by appreciating Tony Khan and emphasizing on the passion of all the wrestlers in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Recently, Mike Benett also claimed that All Elite Wrestling is a better place because of the presence of Adam Copeland.
While speaking to Mo Amir of CHEK VANCOLOUR, Adam Copeland mentioned that he had not seen the CM Punk interview but only saw a few clips. He also mentioned that the reason for him to open Dynamite in the way he did was to ensure that the locker room heard a positive message.
“I didn’t, no,” Copeland said. “I just saw clips. I have better things to do. I really do. I have kids. I don’t really care what anybody really has to say. However, what I will say is, from the small clips, I realized that our locker room needed a good message. So, last week, I went out and spoke to that. “For me, our young locker room needed to hear the positives. That’s why I went out and did what I did last week. I don’t need to search out the other stuff. I have better things to do, I have kids to put to bed. I have the Maple Leafs to watch.” [H/T Fightful.com]
Bennett took to Twitter to mention that Copland has made AEW a better place.
“They always say never meet your heroes. @RatedRCope is the exception to the rule. The very definition of a leader. @AEW is a better place with him in the locker room,” Mike Benette tweeted.
