Like Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan is in great difficulty with AC Milan. The goalkeeper of the French team could also be sold this summer, one year before the end of his contract.
Hard period for AC Milan. After its elimination in the Champions League against Feyenoord, the Lombard club lost Saturday evening in Serie A on the Torino lawn (2-1), and remains blocked in 7th place in the ranking.
With a stupid red card, Theo Hernandez had been the culprit designated after Feyenoord. This time, Mike Maignan takes it for his rank. On a hazardous outing, the French goalkeeper sent a powerful clearance in his teammate Malick Thiaw, who gave a fairly ridiculous counterto room.
This is at least Maignan's third error since the beginning of 2025. After the Italian Super Cup victory, and the promising beginnings of Sergio Conceiçao on the bench, the former Lille won upon recovery against Cagliari (1-1). On the go against Feyenoord, he is also guilty about the goal of the Dutch.
Maignan sold this summer?
If he cannot be the symbol of all AC Milan ailments this season, Mike Maignan is clearly less sovereign than he was the title of the title, three years ago. It is even an understatement. And while Theo Hernandez is clearly pushed towards the exit by the Italian press, the future of the French goalkeeper is also called into question.
Like his teammate with the Blues, Maignan will arrive at the end of the contract in 2026. Negotiations with his club last for many months, and the player trained at PSG would require a salary of around 5 million euros per year. If no agreement is reached, Milanese leaders may be tempted to sell their goalkeeper this summer. But it is not sure that its rating is at its maximum right now …
