He is now tied to the London club until 2027.We are delighted to announce that Mikel Arteta has signed a new long-term contract with the club” Arsenal announced on its website.

Arriving in place of Unai Emery – and interim Fredrik Ljungberg – in December 2019, the former Manchester City assistant coach won the FA Cup (2020) and two Community Shields (2020 and 2023) with the Gunners. City’s runner-up for two consecutive seasons in the Premier League (2022-2023 and 2023-2024), he also allowed Arsenal to return to the Champions League last season for the first time since 2017.
