Rennes challenges AC Milan at San Siro on Thursday evening for the first leg of the Europa League play-offs.

Second in its group at the end of the group stage of the Europa League, Stade Rennais hit the jackpot in the draw for the round of 16. The Breton club inherited AC Milan and the trip to San Siro, for the first leg, promises to be perilous.

In great form since the start of the year with no less than eight victories and a draw in their last nine matches, Rennes will however have to cope without Enzo Le Fée, injured.

While Arnaud Kalimuendo and Martin Terrier should pair up in attack, Benjamin Bourigeaud, Desiré Doué, Azor Mutisawa and Baptiste Santamaria should be partnered in the midfield.

The probable composition of Rennes

Mandanda – G. Doué, Seidu, Theate, Truffert – Bourigeaud, Matusiwa, Santamaria, D. Doué – Kalimuendo, Terrier

On the Milan side, the three Frenchmen Mike Maignan, Théo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud should start.

The probable line-up of AC Milan

Maignan – Florenzi, Gabbia, Hernandez, Jimenez – Reijnders, Adli – Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao – Giroud
